GREEN WASTE

What can be placed in green waste bins?

Skip bins are a great way to dispose of green waste. You can place shrubs, foliage, grass clippings, leaves and twigs in the green waste bin. Small branches, leaves and palms fronds can also be disposed of in the bin. Please make sure that there is no soil attached to any of the waste that you are putting in the bin. If you need to dispose of soil, you will need to use a soil and dirt bin. Tree trunks with a diameter smaller than 150mm and under 50mm long are also accepted in the green waste bin. Untreated timber can also be disposed of just not treated timber.

Hard heavy materials are not to go in the green waste bin. This includes bricks, concrete, sand, clay, stones etc. Please do not place any hazardous materials in this bin for example asbestos, insulation, wet paint, empty chemical containers, food, liquid etc. We also do not accept large tree trunks, palm tree trunks and large tree roots, so please ask us how to dispose of these.
