Are skip bins only for work sites or renovations?
Skip bins are not just for work sites or renovations, they can also be used for one-off events like festivals and concerts. No matter what you're throwing out - bulky materials from the construction site, food scraps from a family get together, or broken furniture that needs to go ASAP. Skip bin services make it easier than ever to throw things away!
What is asbestos?
Asbestos is a mineral fibre that was widely used in building construction prior to the 1980s. It has been shown to cause mesothelioma, lung cancer and asbestosis when it becomes airborne and people breathe it into their lungs.

If you are renovating or demolishing any structures built before the year 2000, there is a chance that your buildings contain asbestos. This can be very dangerous if this material isn’t handled properly during demolition or renovation work.

Skips Bins Cairns provides professional skip bin hire services for residential and commercial clients across FNQ but we do not take asbestos in our bins.
